Citrin Vector Charts
The vector chart types include:
- Angle matrix vector (with geographical and geometrical options) - displaying a direction in angle using vectors over a gridded area
- Radius-angle matrix vector (with geographical and geometrical options) - representing directional vectors with the radius showing the vectors length through data
- X-Y vector (with geographical and geometrical options) - displaying a direction using vectors, where the center point of each vector is positioned at the X and Y coordinates of the data point
In the X-Y vector charts, the X and Y can be any numeric variables or cartographic coordinate data. The variables representing the vectors can either be the horizontal vector component and the vertical vector component, or the angle and the length.
For vector charts, the angles should be in degrees, and can be any number; Citrin uses angle modulus 360.
