Aabel 3 Maintenance Updates
This update includes all fixes and modifications that have been provided in Aabel v3 series up-to-date.
June 14, 2010: Aabel 3.0.5
Requirements: A full v3.x registered installation (not for use with the demo version).
Updater for a Single-User License:![]() Updater Download Link (9.8MB) (Single-User Installation) |
Updater for a Multi-Seat License:![]() Updater Download Link (9.8MB) (Multi-Seat Installation) |
Important Note: Updaters are license type-specific: Use the appropriate updater corresponding to your license installation type: a multi-seat installation updater will not update a single-user installation or vice versa.
What is included in this update?
- Fix for a bug in the heatmap diagram legend; the fix allows the upper and lower bounds for the Z value within a heatmap to be defined in a range that allows between heatmap comparisons
- Fix for a bug in the database metaphor data browser, which once triggered could result in incomplete display of file objects and in disregarding the stacking order of the file objects in the visualization pipeline
- Fix for a bug in the database metaphor, which resulted in a slow performance when re-arranging file objects
- Fix for a bug triggered under some conditions when sorting worksheet rows with multiple keys
- Workarounds for OS-related glitches or issues up to 10.6.3
January 19, 2010: Aabel 3.0.4
What is included in this update?
- Increased optimization for Snow Leopard compatibility and fix for rare glitches/bugs triggered under stress testing of the application on 10.6 (up to 10.6.2)
- Fix for a bug that could be triggered with repeated adding/removing data-members to/from the CCG designer palette
- Fix for a bug that could be triggered when displaying the waterfall or line data series using the toolbar color gradient
- An added feature in the Stats Analyzer UI for hierarchical and K-means cluster analyses, for defining if the empty cells in the variable columns used for such analyses should be treated as undefined (meaning no data are available) or as zero value. That is, instead of transforming the undefined to zero or vice versa, which can be done in the source worksheet(s) (when appropriate), this addition allows transforming the data while performing the analyses
- Added flexibility for manual placement of labels on a pie graph with many slices varying largely in size and hence requiring repositioning of labels for individual slices

June 1, 2009: Aabel 3.0.2
What is included in this update?
- Fix for a drawing bug that was triggered when selecting dotted line type for chart axis grid lines.
- Workaround for a compiler-related bug that created interference between selecting a pane and a subsequent operation that required dragging.
- Addressing the OS-related issues: this update provides workarounds for discovered System-related issues up to v10.5.7.
- Enhancement of toolbar help tags with extended explanations for users who are new to Aabel.
- Color matching between the worksheet local and global markers is an option for selecting worksheet rows with common properties (e.g.,
data objects that correspond to a given subset of data). This update enhances the ease-of-use of the feature in two ways:
(i) Using the perceptive intent, which is a more effective approach than absolute colorimetric intent
(ii) Automatic mapping of a selected color item from a worksheet row local marker to the last item of the global marker palette; clicking the mapped item will propagate its attributes to the worksheet global marker, making the row selection by color matching simple, exact, and practical: a demonstration is provided by a short QuickTime movie; time: 00.00.07.
February 16, 2009: Aabel 3.0.1

- Updating the AppleScript dictionary and documentation
- Fix for a bug triggered while attempting to import certain data files (with file type conflict) into a database metaphor
- Enhancement of 3-D axis customizing
- Minor UI enhancements and fix for glitches discovered during the stress testing of the application
- Workarounds for System-related issues in Leopard up to v10.5.6
