Pie Charts and X-Y Scatter Pie Charts
X-Y Scatter Pie Charts
X-Y scatter pie charts display pies on an X-Y chart, i.e., the center of each pie has a unique X-Y coordinate. Scatter pies include:
- Scatter pie without scaling (equal size pies)
- Scatter pie with radius proportional to the sum of pie variables (using a linear or logarithmic scale)
- Scatter pie with area proportional to the sum of pie variables (using a linear or logarithmic scale)
- Scatter pie with volume proportional to the sum of pie variables (using a linear or logarithmic scale)

Pie Charts (2-D and 3-D)
A pie chart displays the contribution of parts to a whole, where the whole pie (or 100%) is a variable, and each pie slice is a part of the whole. Aabel provides the option of plotting standard pies (round), triangular and square pies, single or multiple pies (with several scaling options). Flexible customizing tools are available for labeling pie slices, changing the fill color or pattern of pie charts, etc. You can change the extrusion ratio of pie slices using a slider.
Different options are available for scaling the individual pies when plotting more than one pie in a given chart pane. The displayed option below represents an example of radius proportional to sum (linear). Other options are radius proportional to sum (logarithmic), r2 proportional to sum (linear or logarithmic), and r3 proportional to sum (linear or logarithmic).
