Graphic Sublayers Manager

Each chart pane or other graphic object created is placed in a transparent sublayer of the current viewer page and its specifications are displayed in the graphic sublayers palette. The sublayers palette allows:

Creating multiple live charts (hot-linked to data) on a single viewer page
Overlaying X-Y charts
Changing the z-order of sublayers and hence the objects they contain
Modifying the transparency of fills, lines and markers independently
Hiding sublayers, locking the objects they contain, deleting objects, etc.
Modifying the chart pane size
Making an active chart inactive and vice versa (in a multiple chart setting, the active chart is the chart that responds to commands)
Modifying the transparency of fills, lines, and markers
Applying X-zoom to exclude data from a given chart without affecting other charts using the same data source(s)
Hiding/showing chart legends and 2-D chart axes

Customizing Markers, Lines, and Fills

Customizing tools are provided for modifying:

Line type, thickness, color
Marker symbol, size, color
fill color and/or pattern

Citrin Markers

Citrin provides 175 marker symbols, each of which can be scaled from 50 to 200% of the initial size (100%) in 20 steps.
The Aabel marker palette also has a blank "symbol" to allow removing markers from a graph, for example, to compare regression curves without displaying data points.

Unicode Characters/Symbols/Glyphs

The Unicode palette can hold 176 characters/symbols/glyphs, each of which can be scaled from 50 to 200% of the initial size (100%) in 20 steps.
This palette can be customized, i.e., each item of the palette can be replaced by another Unicode character/symbol/glyph from the System character palette.

Displaying Object Labels on Charts

Object labels (i.e., worksheet row labels) can be applied to any chart in which the data point can be selected.

The labels can be customized with frames and backdrop colors, or different font properties.
The labels can be used as tags or can replace the data point markers.

Customizing Chart Axis Attributes

Citrin provides numerous chart axis-customizing tools. Features include (but are not limited to):

Choice of linear or logarithmic scale, forward or reverse
Different axis positions (e.g., following from the actual data min. and max. values, through zero, fixed position, floating axis)
Control of the thickness, color, length and type of major and minor grids
Control of the axis range and steps, and of where to start and end the first and last major ticks
Numeric label settings (format, decimal places, use of leading zero, use of a prefix or suffix, etc.)
Control of axis text properties and the position of labels (e.g., font properties, color, angle of labels, alternate positioning of labels, labeling intervals)
Control of axis line thickness, color, anti-aliasing, etc.

Color Management

Citrin presents the user with several methods for color coding data and customizing charts. The color palettes and color gradient palettes in Aabel are represented using default colors. However, you can freely change the items of a palette or create new color gradients from simple, complex, or pure colors.

Color palettes are present in worksheets, the graphic viewer, and all chart customizing dialogs. They allow choosing or modifying colors of markers, lines, fills, color-coded tables, text, etc.
The color editor is interactive and easy to use.
