Aabel 3: Single-User New License

To purchase or use an educational license, you must qualify as an educational end-user. Please review Educational License Conditions to learn if you qualify.

Requirements for Ordering an Educational License: While ordering an educational license, you are required to provide (i) the name and mailing address of the section of the qualified educational institution (university, college, scientific or technical school) in which you are employed or are a currently enrolled student, and (ii) your institutional e-mail address.

Aabel 3: 5-Seat Stand-Alone License

The 5-seat license option (which is available to organizational entities: educational, government, or business entities), offers around 20% off commercial and educational license price relative to single-user copies. This is not a network license; per each 5-seat unit, the software may be installed on up to five (5) organizationally owned on-site computers at a single location; each seat is licensed as a single product that may not be shared concurrently on more than one computer or used by more than one authorized user at a time (authorized users are employees or students permitted by the licensee to use the software).

To purchase or use an educational license, the licensee organization must qualify as an educational end-user. Please review Educational License Conditions.

Requirements for Ordering an Educational License: While ordering an educational license, you are required to provide (i) the name and mailing address of the section of the qualified educational institution (university, college, scientific or technical school) acquiring the license, and (ii) the institutional e-mail address of the licensee (the recipient of the product).

Single-User Upgrade From Aabel 2.x

Below, is provided important information about acquiring an upgrade license:

To purchase an upgrade license of Aabel 3, a valid license of Aabel v2.x must be registered and linked to your information.
Upgrade licenses are provided on a license-exchange basis; each unit upgrade you purchase can only replace one currently owned valid license.
Aabel 2.x must be installed and registered on your machine before running the upgrade installer.

Eligibility for Educational License Pricing

You must be a qualified educational end-user in order to acquire or use an educational license. Please review the information below to learn if you qualify.

Proof of Eligibility

To avoid administrative delays for eligible users, Gigawiz does not require proof of eligibility at the time of order, but we may request proof at a later time. This can be soon after an order has been placed, during an update/upgrade process, when requesting for support, or if our registration system indicates that you may have erred in selecting educational versus commercial license.

(a) Which Institutions Qualify?

(a1) Educational institutions that provide degrees requiring at least two years of full time matriculation (university, college, scientific or technical school)
(a2) Staff* of a qualified educational institution as defined above in (a1), provided that the software is used for non-commercial purposes
(a3) Full and part time (currently) enrolled students of a qualified educational institution as defined above in (a1), provided that the software is used for non-commercial purposes

Please Note:

* Professional staff members of businesses, industries, consulting services, and other agencies and organizations who are appointed by educational institutions or schools on a part-time basis to carry out instructional, teaching, research, or other services and functions are NOT eligible for an educational license pricing.

(b) Examples of Institutions That Do Not Qualify

(b1) Educational institutions that do NOT provide degrees requiring at least two years of full time matriculation
(b2) Research centers, research labs, clinics, and hospitals which are NOT wholly owned and operated (on a day-to-day basis) by a qualified educational institution as defined above in (a1)
(b3) Governmental entities and umbrella organizations (national or international)
(b4) Research institutes, museums, and similar organizations which do not fulfill the conditions defined above in (a1) to (a3)
(b5) Training centers or schools offering certificates for computer software courses
(b6) Non-profit organizations or organizations doing business using a .org or similar domain name, which do not fulfill the conditions defined above in (a1) to (a3)
(b7) Consulting services (national or international)
