Citrin Area and Stacked Area Charts

Area charts can be created from a single variable or from multiple variables (i.e., stacked area).

Area Charts With a Value- and a Category-Axis

Single area graphs display the trend of values of a variable over categories or time. Stacked area graphs display the trend of contribution of values of two or more variables to the total over categories or time.

If Y is the value-axis, X will be the category-axis and vice versa.

Error bars can be added to area and stacked area charts, and the feature provides several options.

When using the 100% stacked area plot option, the values of the selected variables will be normalized and scaled to 100%.

X-Y (Value Axes) Area and Stacked Area Charts

In X-Y area charts, both X and Y are value axes, i.e., values on both axes will be treated as continuous data.
